Today, technical systems already exist that allow you to track each fattening pig individually (from birth to slaughter) via electronic identification. In the PigID project We work with pig farmers to discover which (individual) animal data really useful. Think of info on growth, health, medication use or performance. Together, we want to find ways to make the farm run better: financially and practically. The aim of this project is clear: to help pig farmers manage their business better by identifying opportunities through traceability of each animal.
