Target audience: farmers who own or manage parcels of land in the area of the Buitenheide.
Agenda items:
- Update redesigned Prinsenloop weir for possibility of irrigation Buitenheide.
- Discuss status of canal system management with emphasis on culling. Second structural cull on main canals needed to ensure adequate water drainage.
- Measuring canal water levels using sensors to facilitate weir management. Proposal monitoring plan by Soil Science Service of Belgium.
- Proposal real-time monitoring of water levels via dashboard accessible to interested farmers. They can thus consult water levels themselves or be alerted. A first version of this dashboard is proposed by designer Sumaqua.
Your feedback during this meeting will be taken into account in further developing the themes in the agenda items.
