Agricultural Research and Training Centre (PVL) is a hands-on research centre that focuses on research and innovation in livestock and fodder production. It has its own infrastructure for pigs and dairy cattle and maintains several trial plots. In addition, PVL has a young, dynamic and enthusiastic team of motivated colleagues.

Job description
Het zwaartepunt van deze functie ligt in de plantaardige sector waarbij je zal worden ingeschakeld in onderzoeksprojecten m.b.t. bodem- en waterkwaliteit. Specifiek willen we samen met de landbouwers de kwaliteit van het oppervlaktewater verbeteren en nutriëntenuitspoeling verminderen. In deze functie al je o.a. proefprotocols uitwerken, stalen nemen, metingen, registraties en opbrengstbelaingen uitvoeren en de resultaten interpreteren. Het communiceren van die resultaten, net als meer algemene kennis m.b.t. goede landbouwpraktijken is ook een belangrijk onderdeel van de functie. Je zal hierbij deel uitmaken van een team waardoor overleg en samenwerking erg belangrijk zijn. Niet alleen binnen het team maar ook met landbouwers of andere partijen die bij het onderzoek betrokken zijn.
Profile
- Min bachelor's degree in agriculture, life sciences or related fields or equivalent through experience.
- You are eager to learn and can follow protocols on an independent basis.
- You can demonstrate sufficient accuracy, structure and order are important.
- You are a team player and willing to do occasional weekend work.
- Knowledge of fertilisation and crop protection are an added value.
