Daytime fattening in farrowing sows

Regular manure removal for high emission reduction"

Are you pig farmer And do you have practical experience with day fattening or are you interested in applying day fattening in your farrowing pens?

Are you installer and would you like to think about technical opportunities and challenges?
Then come to the round table discussions on daytime fattening in farrowing sows as a possible emission-reducing technique.

In the project RAMMONIA promising techniques will be measured at several locations (including odour emission) in order to add them to the AERM list. In previous consultations with the pig industry, daytime fattening was chosen for farrowing sows.

However, to measure effectively, we also need commitment from sow farmers. Besides practical input, we are especially looking for locations where the technology is already installed or the shed can be modified so that measurements can be taken.

Who are we looking for?

  • Sow farmers with freestanding stalls who want to think about the possible application of diurnal de-fertilisation in free-running mode
  • Sow farmers with farrowing sows in non-ammonia low emission barns considering installing or having installed daytime fumigation
  • Sow farmers with farrowing sows in sheds with a air scrubber Considering installing or having installed daytime fumigation
  • Pig farmers with practical experiences or interest in daytime fumigation systems
  • Installers, constructors and consultants who have practical experience and/or substantiated ideas on daytime decongestion
